The massage was good and I think the pricing is reasonable. My massage was interrupted a couple times by the lady stepping out to take care of something going on up from and she stepped out for a few minutes twice to get supplies. I think it would be nice if they could have everything ready in the room so time isn’t taken out of your massage for them to get things. She used hot stones which I had not asked for but they ended up being nice. $50 for a one hour full body massage, you probably won’t find better pricing than that but it didn’t end up being the most relaxing experience for me.

Trying to secure a couples massage was hassle free. Upon walking in the atmosphere wasn't the nicest but the staff was friendly and accommodating. The massages were great! The masseuse continuously asked if the pressure was satisfying. For $99 we received a full body, head to toe massage, with hot rocks. Highly recommended! Will be back soon!

Had a gentleman named Tony and he was very kind! Always made sure pressure was okay and that the hot stones were not burning me. Found the knot I constantly have in my neck and took the time to work on it without me having to ask ((something I usually have to do)). Appreciated the experience and will return for sure.

I like this place! The receptionist was a Caucasian girl who spoke perfect English . That was really nice. The prices are pretty good. I did a combo 30 min foot 30 min body for $40. The massage therapist was a man and i didn't catch his name but he did a good job and asked me if the pressure was good or not. This is one of the better ones in town, I have been to too many.

I have been going to Zen Spa weekly for a deep tissue massage for about 3 months now. They are wonderful! I love it. A weekly massage is really so helpful in relaxing my muscles. I feel better all week.

Had an appt at my usual spot in town but their massage therapist called in sick. Decided to go here instead. Walked in without an appt. Decided to do the 30 minute foot massage and 30 minute body massage. My muscles were very tight so after we started I changed it to a 60 minute body massage. It was fantastic! So I paid $55 for an hour and a half. Worth every penny.

Wifey and I decided on a massage day and this was the quickest place to get us in. What a great option, clean, respectable, comfortable and best of all, the massage was awesome. We both had a female masseuse and both ladies were able to dig in and work out the knots. It was a great experience overall. We will definitely come back and may make this place our go to for massages around Bakersfield.

This spa has changed owners several times, the current owners have a nice place. My wife and I have been here a few times, we have had the one hour body $50, and the 30 min foot 30 min body for $40. There is at least one couples room, maybe more not sure. The massage therapists give good massage, including deep tissue. We feel so good when we leave this place. Parking is OK, there are many places in the evening.
Tips: This is a very busy massage store, it is better to call and make an appointment. And on these very hot days, try not to let them put you in the couples room to the left of the counter. That room is HOT!

Wow....Today my husband and I went in since we got gift certificates for Christmas. We waited until today to finally go in before they expire, which was perfect cause it is our Anniversary. Not knowing what to expect we were so amazed with the whole set up. Rooms were clean, quiet, soft lighting, soft music. Again not expecting anything big we definitely were wrong we got a whole body massage feet included. It was so relaxing and professionally done the gentleman were so nice and made sure we were always comfortable. Definitely going back hopefully for a girls spa day lol when my husband heard me say that he said "I'm coming back with you" yup he enjoyed every minute of it.

My mom and I did the combination massage for $40 each and it was pretty nice. It was are first time trying any massage place. The staff is friendly, it was very relaxing and worth going again. I'd recommend trying this place, especially for the price.

First time, I went in and got a combination massage (30 min body, 30min foot) for $40. Second time I got the 60min body and 30min foot for $60. Absolutely authentic Chinese massage therapy, even better than the massages I got when I was traveling in China. The therapists are experts in working on my pressure points and reliving the super tensed mussels especially on my shoulders. Worth every penny.

I was referred here by my friend and hearing that a 1 hour body massage plus 30 min foot massage was only $60 I was sold.
It was amazing! I had such a good experience. As soon as I walked in I was immediately taken to a private room by Sonia. She made sure to ask me if her pressure was ok throughout the massage. For such a tiny lady she was able to really get every knot out of my body which is exactly what I needed.

The 30 min foot massage took place in a larger room with several beds. It included a head/neck, arm, hand, leg and foot massage.

The ambience was all very relaxing with what sounded like Kenny G playing in the background. Sonia did not pressure or make me feel like I needed to tip her and was very gracious when I did choose to tip.

I will definitely be coming back!

$50 is great price to begin with and I did not expect too much when I head out there because you normally get what you paid for. I called couple of other places that are nicer but I had to wait and Zen spa was available immediately. According to one of their staff, there are 6 massagers on duty.

This place is not attractive and kinda smelly (I think it was from the pillow) but the massager was great. That's all about Zen spa.
I love deep tissue massage but I asked for Swedish because i get body aches for at least 2 days and I do not have time to be sick. That's why I asked for Swedish but I don't think he understood me. I got deep tissue massage. They may not understand English but I got the service I needed. Lol

Got my husband a 1 hour massage today for his birthday. The masseuse left for 10 minutes during his massage, and when my husband told him that he was hurting him, he dug harder! He finally had to tell him to stop because he was really in pain. He is now in excruciating pain from this masseuse.

Been coming here for couples massages with my fiancee. Love the hot stones. They always throw it in for us for free. I like deep pressure so I usually get a male masseuse. My fiancee likes Swedish with soft hands, so he usually requests for a female masseuses. I recommend this place to my friends and families.

The reviews on this place are mixed, but it is convenient for me, so I thought I'd give it a try. I have never had a foot massage before. The massage itself was EXCELLENT, in a big, dark, quiet room with peaceful music playing at a very low volume. I wore comfortable street clothes. There are about 10 big chairs/benches in the room, which were mostly empty when I was there. My masseuse worked first on my face and neck, then my shoulders and arms, and then my legs and feet. Then I turned over and she worked on my back for 15 minutes. The pressure was just perfect and I came away feeling refreshed but not sore. No one talked. No one pressured me. No one left me in the middle of the massage except to dump the water one time. Nobody there seemed to speak much English, but we communicated about price, credit cards, etc just fine! If there is one criticism I have, it is the waiting area. It was cluttered and looked a bit dirty. The owners/managers and a few of the employees were just sitting around out there talking to each other and checking their phones. I wish they had a break room! Next time I go, I will try a regular massage in a private room. Also available is a 12-minute chair massage in a cool-looking ergonomic chair, which I will also try. All the rooms looked nice and clean. You can't beat the value... $25 for an hour for the foot massage. All in all, a better experience than I expected.

I have been looking for a place that gives a good massage for a long time. I have tried other places, and they use almost no pressure at all. The girls here are very good at using pressure. It is hard to find anyone who actually applies good pressure to receive long term pain. The massage therapists here, do a very good job. If they use too much pressure, you can use the the universal "Ow" or "Ouch" and they will get the message, even if they do not speak a lick of English. Of course, you can also tell them "ya li tai duo le." If you need more pressure, then a simple "harder" or "young li" will do the trick. I highly recommend Zen Spa.

Went there to get a half hour massage. Ended up getting the full hour instead. I have had knots in my shoulders and back for weeks. The deep tissue and hot rock massage worked wonders. Well worth the price.

I had seen the Zen Spa a couple of times when I was in the area(McDonalds) and thought I would give it a try. As soon as I arrived I was greeted and I had told them it was my first time going there. So they showed me what they had to offer and I chose the 60 min foot massage. Let me start off by saying I thought I was just getting a foot massage but they also massage your face, neck, arms, back and legs! Tina was my massage therapist and she was great. I left feeling relaxed, calm and overall great! The last place I had a massage I left hurting all over and needed to use a heating pad for three days. I would definitely recommend this place. The service is outstanding and the prices are unbeatable.

Went here when I was directed here when the other foot massage place was under a remodel job. Came here with my sisters when they were here for a visit and we were going for a foot massage and then a pedicure.
But after the 60 minute foot massage, OMG who needed a pedicure, we were so relaxed.
So for Mother's Day my husband agreed to go with me. I was so glad because we always get couples massages when we travel and he was really reluctant when I said we were going for foot massages. He was very comfortable when we walked in and there was someone he knew in there because he thought he was going into a woman's salon. There were actually a lot of men in there so it is a very unisex business, so men go you will love it.
You go into a dimly lit room, sit on these large comfy oversized chairs and they put your feet in warm water, cover you with a thin blanket and start with your temples and head and go on down your arms. Head, shoulders, neck, arms, well you get what I mean. Then when they get to your feet they use hot stones all the while massaging your feet and legs. Then the chair turns into a table with the hole for your face when you turn over and they massage your back, who would of thought that a foot massage would of included all this, amazing!
This is going to be a regular for us for sure. Do not hesitate to try the foot massage, no having to disrobe. Best 60 minutes you will have, very misleading when you think you are getting a foot massage but totally in a good way. I got way more for my money!!

I had a wonderful time at Zen Spa getting what a thought was going to be a foot massage, but was actually a full massage. Starting with sitting back in a very comfortable chair with my feet places in very warm water. Once the actual massage began I was already getting very relaxed. My massage therapist, Ana, came and started with my facial pressure points and sinus passages working to a full head massage, neck, arms, hands then to the WONDERFUL foot massage. After she was finished with the foot massage she had me turn on to my stomach and massaged my back and legs. I left so relaxed and happy. All for only $25. I recommend this for EVERYONE!

Very friendly service, despite the language barrier that can be overlooked. My girlfriend & I went for full body massages & they did a good job. Only small detail that I didn't like was that while we were getting our massages a gentleman opened the door to speak to one of the masseuse & I felt like that was a violation to our privacy. Other than that small detail, their prices are fair & they're very friendly service. We'll definitely be going back.

I really enjoyed my full body couples massage. They can either be soft or really dig into deep tissue. Great for anyone working out and needing body work done! They also used hot, round stones with oil to move along your back and loosen tight muscles. I'm excited to come back!

I love this place!!!!!! I had the neck and back tension issue for years which cause a lot of headache, so I required the whole body massage. The therapist is very friendly and knowledgeable. She found the sore muscles which caused the headache right away. I felt much better after she worked on it. The hot stone technic there is very special and can make you feel so relax. Make sure you request it when you go there. Highly recommend this place.

Been there a couple of times so far, the masseuses are very friendly, and they have ppl who speak really good English working there. The place and very clean. Price is very fair, $25 for an hour foot massage and $50 for a body massage. I've tried both, personally prefer the body massage, cuz I have a stiff back, so I asked the masseuse to work on my back for the whole hour. but the foot massage was well worth it as well, they massage your whole body pretty much for half of the time, the other half of the time is on the feet. I recommended the place to a couple of friends, and they love it too.

I came by as a drop in one Sunday with my husband. The service is amazing! They offer complimentary beverages while you're getting whatever treatment you choose. Their folks are very gentle, professional, and talented. I had one of the best pedicures of my life without breaking the bank. I continue to make appointments (as this is usually more efficient) and use this as my regular spot for nail care!

I stumbled in last night hoping to just get a price list and maybe check out a brochure - I love getting massages and facials but haven't found a place I *love* yet. I met the owner, Jimmy (nice guy) and he gave me a tour really quick of their various spa rooms and managed to talk me in to a 1 hour foot rub. With a $5 tip for my massage therapist, it was still only $30! Honestly, for the free drinks they offer, the excellent customer service and the environment you're in (the interior decorations and low lighting and great soothing music) you can't beat this place. It just opened, so it was super quiet when I got there, but I know that it's going to catch on that this place is amazing. I just hope I can squeeze in a few more massages before they get booked :) OH, and I work long hours, so the fact that they take walk-ins and are open late ROCKS.

ZenSpa is definitely worth a trip to check them out! They are located right between Cupcakes~n~Crema and Jersey MIkes on the Northwest corner of Hageman and Coffee, behind the McDonalds. ZenSpa offers a number of different services; they do nails, facials, foot massage, and full body massage. I went there today to try out their foot massage services, and boy was I impressed!

Upon entering, I was greeting first by a woman, then a man who were very friendly and polite. When I told them it was my first visit, the gentleman gave me a little minitour showing me the room for facials, a room for full body massages, then ushered me into the room for foot massages. The color scheme was muted earth tones, the light was low, and there was background music that was a mix of piano music and ocean surf sounds all of which were very relaxing. There were 6 chairs, arranged in two rows of three each, that were very much like large reclining chairs covered with strategically arranged pillows and fabric covering it all.

I lay down on back on one of the chairs and they put a blanket over me and brought a basin of hot water to soak my feet in. While my feet were soaking, my massage therapist started by rubbing my temples, then my neck, and worked down each arm to finish with my hands. He did a surprisingly good job on my feet. I am a competitive dancer and I'm embarrassed to say I'm very hard on my feet. At dance competitions I see the foot reflexologist religiously, but I'm ashamed to say I rarely get them massaged in between so my feet are usually hurting. When this guy was done my feet felt GREAT!

After he was done with my feet, he had me turn over on my stomach and massaged my back, shoulders, and thighs right over my street clothes. I left there feeling rested, relaxed, and amazingly refreshed! I was offered a bottle of water on my way out, which was very nice since my reflexologist always insists that I drink water after he works on me, something about flushing toxins out of my system.

Anyway, I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to pamper themselves. I know I plan to come back and try out the facials!

It's always a wonderful visit there, and a perfect treat on a cold Bakersfield night. Forget meds or hollow retail therapy. Treat yourself by taking a moment for yourself.
